The 2018/19 Formula E season ended in New York this weekend and was the most successful season ever for the Panasonic Jaguar Racing Team. After two exciting final races, Mitch Evans finished 5th in the drivers' overall standings. The team reached 7th place.
Successful season 18/19
With three podium finishes, the first victory in Rome and the fight for the championship, the Panasonic Jaguar Racing Team can look back on a successful fifth season. James Barclay, Panasonic Jaguar Racing Team Director, is proud of the team's hard work and the progress that has been seen throughout the races. He praised the team for the fantastic race car with which they demonstrated great speed and efficiency. "We've learned to win as a team and be at the top of the championship," said Barclay. The Jaguar Racing Team is going stronger, motivated and hungry for more success in preparations for the next sixth season.
New this season was the I-PACE eTROPHY. At the eTROPHY, the next generation of touring car racing, up to 20 identical models of the electric SUV Jaguar I-PACE will compete in ten races on the same track as the Formula E racing cars. Célia Martin competed for the Viessmann Jaguar eTROPHY Teams Germany, and her first season is impressive. With two second places in Berlin and Paris, she left an impression and showed that her ambitious goals - namely to prove herself in the international arena in the long term - are no longer just dreams of the future.
The sixth season will start on 22 November 2019 in Diriyya / Saudi Arabia.
